Executive Director
Andrea Gibson was appointed in April 2023 as the first full-time Executive Director of the Sandusky County Communities Foundation. Andrea has spearheaded significant advancements for the Foundation, including the addition of new funds, the implementation of software to streamline donor management, grant and scholarship processes, the launch of a nonprofit collaborative, and the establishment of a site visit program.

A native of Tiffin, OH, Andrea continues to reside there with her husband and three children. She devotes additional volunteer hours to her nonprofit, Giving Birthdays. Andrea began her career in Sandusky County in 2015 with the Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation, where she worked for eight years. In recognition of her community work, she was honored with a 20 Under 40 Toledo award in 2022 for her contributions through Giving Birthdays.

Andrea is a member of the Rotary Club of Fremont, Ohio. She has held leadership and board positions with organizations such as Sandco Industries, Sandusky County Young Professionals Group, Leadership Sandusky County, and Giving Birthdays. She also previously served as a Regional Advisory Council Member for OhioKan’s Region 2 and as a Chamber Ambassador. Andrea graduated with honors from Tiffin University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Organizational Management with a concentration in Marketing.
