Communities Foundation Awards $79,595.37 to Local Organizations
The Sandusky County Communities Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2020 Community Grants. For the twelfth consecutive year, the Foundation has awarded grants to non-profit organizations for projects that benefit Sandusky County residents. These awards total more than $825,000.
This year 13 community organizations were awarded a total of $79,595.37. The recipients include Ballville Volunteer Fire Department, Bellevue Society for the Arts, Chamber Foundation of Sandusky County, Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center, Pontifex, R.B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums, Sandusky County Economic Development Corp., Solomon Lutheran Church and School, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Terra College Foundation, The Community Fortress, Village of Lindsey and the YMCA of Sandusky County. Additionally, the Foundation awarded $39,500.00 in scholarships and $15,715.00 in Emergency Relief Fund Grants this year.
The Sandusky County Communities Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1998 and provides a local vehicle for donor directed and community based giving. Since its inception the Foundation has facilitated nearly $3.3 million in local awards.
